Crossing the Abyss documents the amazing story of Miriam Greenstein, a spirited woman who survives captivity to find freedom and family across one ocean and two continents. Filmmakers Elle and Ilsa both recently completed a Masters in Film Studies at University of Oregon. While there, they produced several short films and screenplays, including Crossing the Abyss.  Elle now pursues production opportunities in Portland, Ilsa in Seattle.
